A FILM By Susannah Morse

Susannah has the deep looking abilities of someone who feels their perspective on the world in their heart. Through a super creativity-supporting childhood experience in Duluth, MN, Susannah has found herself open to explorations in the realms of literature and film, and brings to all that she engages with a sense of possibility. She has found a natural place of intersecting interests in the worlds of filmmaking and teaching, having made several short experimental films (many involving a fairy-tale element) and spent some time as a teaching assistant in the Visual and Environmental Studies department at Harvard College with Robb Moss and Alfred Guzzetti. It was there that she and Lisa Foti-Straus met as undergraduates, collaborating on all they produced in a pairing that joined their creative lives and lead to co-directing Elwood Snock & The Land of Lo-Fi. The love of detail which has made Susannah a focused editor and cinematographer has also brought her repeated seasons of involvement with the Acadia Summer Arts Program in Mount Desert, ME where she has produced and filmed lectures with artistsĀ William Kentridge, Shirin Neshat, Arthur Danto and others. Having recently made her way out West, Susannah is working as an associate producer on the documentary film Regarding Susan Sontag and continues to steadily compose her own Jerome-funded 16mm film on author Susan Cooper. Susannah, Lisa and host of other ladies share a home and studio on a mesa north of San Francisco.

Susannah is also the lovely web designer and mistress of our site, and her own at www.susannahpatricemorse.com.
