Our visit with Maureen was magical. There was certainly a feeling similar to entering Michael’s realm as she welcomed us into the home she has created for herself, in which her strong watercolors and oil paintings dot the wooden walls and relay glimpses of spots she has passed through in her seasons of gypsy living. She is also deeply interested in astrology and took the time to show us her knowledge as well as the vegetables she had begun growing.

An explicit admirer of her brother’s music, Maureen brings her own wonderful voice and style to Michael’s songs when she pulls out her guitar, and her recollections from the early Hurley home add a harmonizing perspective to Michael’s past. We feel extremely fortunate to have been able to spend some time with Maureen.
