Lisa’s artistry must have made itself clear to Snock (or maybe it was just her deep appreciation for the Snark). A committed maker and experimenter in life, she’s spent different eras impassioned by drawing, oil painting, poetry and short story writing, fabric printing and filmmaking, which she studied with Susannah in the Visual and Environmental Studies (as in Art) department of Harvard College. Of course, Lisa would like best of all to be a rock-star, but hasn’t quite figured that one out (yet). Before devoting five years to the making of Elwood Snock & The Land Of Lo-Fi, Lisa spent time on the road with the shiny Sister Wendy for the BBC’s American Collection and alongside Barbara Hammer during the making of Resisting Paradise. She has also had the pleasure of mentorship from directors Claudia Weil and Robb Moss. Lisa is responsible for a series of beautiful experimental and documentary shorts and, having entered into a world of musicians through Michael, she continues to record live music and collaborate on music videos and projects with various folks from the film. |
