The Double G has has been a man of Hollywood for some time. It seems foolish to introduce George in words other than those that open his world wide web site: “Here we have a somewhat legendary figure, a man who makes his living as an actor but has a most idiosyncratic musical pedigree as well.” George produced several of his own albums for United Artists and has been known to have roamed around with musicians Loudon Wainwright and Suzzy Roche, who lead him to Michael Hurley. He has been in many, many films and television series, from Iron Will to True Blood and The X-Files. It is, however, his equestrian leanings that brought us to spend some time with him in Paradise Park, Los Angeles. Michael and George have been friends for a long while, and as he got the mounts ready for a ride, Michael played a few gentle tunes in the hay shed while George warmed up to telling stories from the past… He continues to play and ride, making his way into the sunset whenever he can.
