Amy Annelle sometimes looks like she might have walked out of one of Michael’s graphic novels. A true road warrior herself, she is a frequent wearer of striped knee socks, and is her own manner of lady-type railroad hopper. Having been on the circuit with Michael in a number of different configurations, Amy appeared frequently in Michael’s video footage, playing gigs and driving her van between stops on the western frontier. Her cover of “Lonesome Whipperwill” is magic, especially when accompanied by Michael’s behind-the-camera croon.

Amy’s writing is an inspiration to read if you can catch some, and after seven albums and many miles she has made a spot for herself in Austin where she now performs as Amy Annelle & the True Vine.
