Alissa has found a well of inspiration at the intersection of music and photography, creating wonderful portraits and album covers for a bunch of fantastic young folk including Devendra Banhart, Joanna Newsom and Vetiver. She has also been a member of Vetiver, playing cello and flute along with her beau Andy Cabic. Her portraits have been showing up in publications the world over. Thanks to Alissa, we are able to share the superb photo featured on our About page which she took of Michael while hanging out in Sacramento during the recording of Things of the Past. Alissa may not present this right off, but she’s also a rad maker of recycled and handmade clothing and accessories (Lisa was stoked to wear one of her smart jackets for several years running). Alissa’s sewing creations can be found under the name Mittenmaker.
